bought 3 new albums today ! well since it’ve been years since i bought something new the latest being, some robert cray and jimmy cray blues, today i pleased desire for the popular music with adam lambert latest album, and the remainders of john mayer that i did not manage to get my hands on , namely eavier things and room for squares.off to check it out, btw if ur a fan of pure raw pop power i thought adam lambeet offered some serious originality in his album whic is some serious pop flavor yet substantianted althought diverse. he’s far better than chris allen anw so check him out !

alright stupid title for a post i know. nonetheless, i can’t wait !,the earpieces are coming in 3 days time, so grab yours while stocks last(which isn’t alot anyway). really hoping to make this venture a success. not for the money as you might anticipate, but honestly for the experience. well adding on as well admittedly was my constant innate nature to want to make this venture a success due to the many past failures( which cannot be counted by the meer fingers on your God given hand). Those who know me better would probably recognise these moments of despair in my life, where not only money but trust was lost. hence the desire to want to ensure it goes well.

well today was a great day, attending lie hao’s care group. noticed a lift of atmostphere amongst the people. despite the rawness of youth, the potential for God to work in these individuals cannot be in doubt. now to build on foundation foundation foundation( say it’ FOUNDATION’!). yes how very crucial i must say, build them right, build them strong.

alright, so it have been a exrtremely busy past week for me up to yesterday, there’s meetings after meetings , workshops and training class, i almost lost track of earth for awhile. so i thought i’d dedicate today to specifically not do anything. so i’ve consolidate my thoughts for the afternoon and plan to pen them down in the evening later on after dinner. gonna go to the gym for awhile, then head over to grab a cup of coffee and pen down my thoughts and plans.

also i did something new today !, i created a paypal account and paid my dad to send some money into my account as they don’t support DBS, POSB and UOB, not that i have a UOB bank account anyway. so i did something i’ve wanted to do for a long long time, that was to import certain goods from overseas! and i thought why not make it count and so i bulk ordered a set of shure earpieces from their OEM, hehe not gonna tell you the price but i got to mention that their service was top notch. the correspondent on the other end even added me on msn to instruct me on the paypal transaction. now to draft up plan B on how to market these earpieces into the forums.

well to clarify these are not the authentic goods i would suspect but OEM aka, Original equipment manufacturer simply mirrors the fact that it’s not fake anyway. just the same product supplied from its orignal source and not from the company themselves though bearing the company’s name. nonetheless, quality counts at the end of the day. already drafting out my plans to import guitars and resale them, the basis of it’s reality lies heavily on the earphones venture. praying hard the earphones will arrive undistrubed and in good and performing condition.

on the other hand i also took the time off today to research on the various universities i might be eyeing for to enter. obviously i looked past the top 20 and went straight down to the 40-50 catergory as much as i would like to see my name on a harvard cert, i know my opportunites and foundation of my subjects would prefer me to be more realistic with my choices. you might be wondering why not choose a local university ?, well i would love to but hey given the chance to do something cool like economics and law without  needing to pit your bottoms against the like of hwa chong and raffles junior college sounds like a fair shot at doing something close to my heart. looked at various australia universities( which i have already had my heart set on the australian uni’s) i concluded amongst monash, sydney, melbourne, queensland and UNSW. i think i’ll choose the university of new south wales, given its evidently more diverse context that it marketed to me in comparison to other universities while still retaining it’s position as a top 50 university it seems like the most logical choice( also i liked the website better), and it somehow seem to be more Donavan to me. although i did strongly considered monash as one of my key choices, but with my sister and freedy already going over i think it’ll be wiser to seek newer terrains to share my experiences of uni life with other individuals.

let’s run through my day today, had a meeting this morning and apparently i am late, and well i waited a good 20mins for the bus… not a good excuse i know but argghh…20mins for a bus ?!?!?!? our transport system is deteriorating, i demand change! i am singaporean who wants the system run the singaporean way, i will not be anymore tolerant of waiting for a public transport for more than 5 mins, hear that SBS!, you are going to lose a valuable customer if no reforms is implemented.

well that wasn’t my only unlucky brush with our public transportation system today. later on in the evening i was suppose to meet up alvin to chill and catch up and as i entered the platform area i saw a waiting time of 6 mins towards harbourfront so i thought it ws good to just take the opposite train and fill my life with whatever activity was present to relieve my innate sense of adventure by having the seemingly thrilling experience of a lesser waiting time in the direct station before the mentioned. and as my train approached the destined ‘waiting’ station horror trampled positive expectation as the sight of a leaving train plummet my hope of a happy ending to my mini adventure. the additional 6 mins of waiting time did little to lighten my mood. i am passionately adamant that our public transportation is not advancing fast enough. we need change ! come on PAP !

on a heavier note i just finished watching a terribly disappointing match between the ever red manchester united and the sissies chelsea. wouldn’t be surprise to see the entire team at the oscars. it was obviously a brutally passionate and fired up encounter between the two titans but unconvincingly the little boys took their luck against the real men of the game, chelsea are the boys just in case you’ve lost me . everything was wrong just wrong , man utd had the better game in comparison to chelsea and the only goal scored by chelsea had to come from a terribly horrid decision from the refree, the goals came off a free kick by the way which was UNJUSTIFIED UNJUSTIFIED UNJUSTIFIED! between just watch the game and look out for ivannovic .. something like that , and admire how loser can a loser get haha !, i know i am being a little crude but i just feel that he deserve a worthy mention of a class act against ryan giggs, its almost as if karma turned physical .

realised people read blogs more when it’s updated. commons sense stuff i guess. a good week to end with, exciting things happens every week anyway. shall not elaborate on details but as craig ferguson always says…… ‘it’s a great day amercia, cause it’s a friday ‘ * crowds applauds retardedly*. man… what a cool guy. in case you still havn’t noticed, craig ferguson is by far my favourite tv personality, just like how some like david letter man or jay leno, david letterman is the tv host who had  a affair with his employee and is still loved on tv!, well .. lesson learnt- always choose hollywood over the white house/ istana.

oh just tried the new coffee house that opened recently below my house , had chicken rice in the noon for lunch and fried rice for dinner at night…. review…. chicken rice was ok… nothing fantastic i’ll say. and i don’t really like the store owner it seems that they don’t really seem to be purist chicken rice sellers… they seem to be more money minded than being concern about the food. sitting beside the store, i must have heard at least a gazillion time the owners asking each other ” have you collected the money”?, it kinda pissed me off that they are so moolah centered. liked the fried rice much better, tasted authentic and traditional, just like how you want your chinese fried rice to taste like, not your crystal jade stuff, but still pretty decent for only $3.50 in comparison the $3.00 chicken rice, which barely filled half my not so small stomach, but you get the point.

just finished my teaching preparation for meeting tml, dead beat but happy for the experience! praying hard meeting will be good tml that the message will get through how God wants it.

I am back, well basically i just have a sub conscious guilt of entertaining my blog since it seems that it is created for a purpose after all. quick update of my life. well since it’s the holidays its obvious and apparent that going to school doesn’t make sense anymore however it just so happens that my teacher have my house and handphone number, what a spoiler. after 3 days missing from action my authorithy in education rang me up. well it feels like i was just summoned back to boring world. haiz, it’s the ministry of education, it’s suppose to be educating me, i guess the goverment and my teacher only had my best interest in mind( smirk a sarcastic grin).

ever been ambitous about the holidays ?, guess what , me too! well since i received my promotional status and felt the weight of a gazillion gorillas falling off my not so toned shoulders, i floated into freedom land, so much so i slept on the cloud of zzzz aka my bed for no less then 10 hours a day for the past week. ha, but that’s not the point. i think i’ve been sharing, with a couple of people, of my grand holidays plan,s- gonna brush up on my guitar, learn loads more music theory , pick up the bass and well …study the stock market and educate myself on shares and stocks. sounds enriching right ?

well not so, until i read john ortberg’s  ‘it all goes back into the box’, i won’t be prioritizing these ambition of mine in the holidays, God and people are gonna be number 1 on my list. it’s simply the least i could give to God with all he’ve given.  Hard choice i know. but it’s just stuff at the end of the day. no big deal losing out on a little musically and  sidelining opportunities to do what i’ve wanted all year without the workload of school. But I know this may sound cliche and cheesy , i simply cannot shortchange God’s plan for mine. i’ll do what i want in my free time, but there’s plenty of work to do in building a kingdom, not a easy job you know .

just a snip shot of my coming months, and well i am ever more excited with a growing group of passionate God loving people, it’s gonna be a catastrophical surprise if God have no intention of move. looking forward to the many coreteam sessions and fellowship that i’ll be endearing myself to this holidays. even more excited to see God moving and bringing people closer to his will , oh, myself as well !

also a key component of my holidays will have to be encircled around my family and relatives. you’ve heard this before,’ impress from far, impact from near’ well i don’t exactly impress my family from far and neither and i spending enough quality time to be impacting from near. i mean, treasure your family, they are the most important people to you , really. Don’t just get stuck up with minsitry and stuff, be realistic with your life God don’t put these people closest to you for fun. well adimittedly i’ve tried and not exactly derived with the best result in spending time, hence a concrete decision to want to be spending quality time with my close ones.

oh on a side note when i was walking home today at around 11pm, i realise my new coffee shop is still open below my house, that means no more midnight maggi mee! haha!, bet you are jealous and stimulating a exchange of life thought in your mind right now . well keep dreaming as liverpool says ‘you’ll never walk alone’ opps forgot to complete it-

i was reading through the beginning of the ‘twelve ordinary man’ by john macarthur. a highly acclaimed and well read book, recognized and recommended by various book worms around me that i know of haha !

there was a particular portion in which i was reading through that specified the event of peter and co, fishing without results and obviously exhausted and drained. Jesus later came in and told him to throw the net into the deep blue sea of ‘fishlessness’ once more, and as usual God did not disappoint, filling their net with abundance that it nearly sunk both boats off coast!

such a amazing feat captured their hearts, that’s when jesus called them to ‘follow me’ and they ‘forsook all and followed him’. peter and gang went on to fulfill enormous work for God, taking up the role of apostleship and ultimately bringing the gospel alive to the world so much so that the gospel is very much alive and relevant in our times and date.

peter and gang were later on subjected to death for the gospel except john who still went through tremendous hardship and toil and ultimately died exiled. so we’ve got to question ourselves, with the tremendous work that God have done in many of our lives, is it not enough for him to inspire our following. feeding your hungry soul when it lacks. filling your thirst when you lack. giving you a purpose when you lack. loving you when sin places us against the odds.

peter and gang did not know they were going to die for the gospel. but they knew what they wanted to live for. they didn’t know death was a final requirement of their work. They were inspired to die for their work. that makes jesus a great mentor too i believe, after he died for it as well, didn’t he ?

ministry doesn’t require death. The calling inspires death for the gospel.

“When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “yes.”

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

“Now,” said the professor as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things – God, your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions – and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.  The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else – the small stuff.”

“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

“Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first – the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. ”I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”  ”

on a personal note, i love my family. i thank God i am placed here. i know that i am blessed beyond measure and i owe so much to my dad , my mum and my relatives. in fact i knew i have failed them many a times. i am not the most perfect of son, but yet what love is not offered to me in the process of my youth and growing up. even more so, what about God? from a dad whose love is flawless.

i have to say i was deeply moved when i received the mail from my dad. it wasn’t a mail of much words . but it was a mail that truly reflected his belief  in me. and i don’t know who is reading this, but all i can say is appreciate your family and the blessing God have place in your lives through them. our families are not perfect , but what we can be sure of is that there is someone out there cheering you on and believing in you even when no one else does. reflecting through, the bible have been a constant source of encouragement to me from God, seemingly a spiritual email.

we always hear, to major on the major. but honestly, have we identified the golf balls in our lives. i pray God help me to spot my golf balls.

ok so i am gonna do something a little different here, i am gonna do a short write up of a couple of stuff i thought were worth reviewing for all the gadget geeks!

earphones-

personally i have been increasingly intrigued by the scl 2’s performance despite their low price, it packs a hefty punch of clarity and clear professional monitoring quality. solid built from shure, thoroughly well thought out for its price against competitors, it have been my go to whenever i have a flat 99 to spend. very sadly i lost mine awhile back plainly aching from the sucky thought. wires of of better quality then the se210s, a supposedly better version, but i beg to differ having tried both i think the 210 pales in comparison, thought from the same company, it clearly doesn’t match up as well, good thick strong wires, gold plated input jack, solid physical built and great isolation with comfortable buds that shure are renown for, and most importantly a unprecendented vocal and mids which clearly blows all competition in the price range away, even your um1s doesn’t match up, but well its all in my personal opnions anyway. for $99 get these at jabens, it does it job for the price and more, not forgetting true shure quality at 99 is a no brainer la !

lol, that’s just one review do look forward to more as i compile my info for a more comphrehensive outlook on the various hobbies and gadgets that gets me ticking! eg. guitars, phones,laptops,etcetcetc
