realised…. i havn’t blogged for the past gazilion years. so much for my attempt to be”faithful with blogging”. yes, so updates on life, well…… let me see. it’s chinese new year, hong bao wasn’t much .well, that’s expected i guess cause i don’t have ridiculously rich relatives and parents while it doesn’t help that my extended family whom i am more familiar with is rather small.

and not forgotting to update my blog that it is my A levels year and i still find it hard to get the momentum and anxiety to kick in, moreover the festive period is definitely not helping gear me into the right mood for common test. gosh and my tutors told me it’s gonna be TOUGH. Life’s just weird i guess. but hey, what i can i do right.

jeezz…. i really don’t know what to blog about anymore. so if you’re like reading this blog, haha i think maybe i can pay you to help maintain it ?

larry was 6. Brought up in love and care, the gentle arms of love soft yet firm holds him tightly to the chest of the father. larry never misses a saturday of breakfast with James. James was not wealthy, never made it past the 6th grade holds a modest job, living just enough to make ends meet. what he had though was a heart for his child. The years would pass, just as time holds true, larry would seldom call back in the fall the night. The saturdays together were rare and often silent. James would sit on the coffee table by the corner of his apartment, just beside the window where the tree that he had planted once with larry was once alive and was to james as much the symbol of hope as the cross was to the priest. But as time has its way, leaves begin to fall as nature takes its course, almost reminiscent of the faltering love he holds for his son. the coffee was stale. warm but cold, smooth but rough.

Tomorrow will be the first official day of school. so it’s kinda like the first full school day since the holidays. Looking back i must admit it have not been easy dragging myself physically, emotionally and mentally through the year with ministry responsibilties and academic expectations to live up to. Workload seems to be piling and so does responsibilities. as i walk into the following phase of the year, with added roles and load, i know deep inside, that no human strength could bring myself to the finish line.

i pray a quite prayer , that God, you will pull me through. not by might nor power, but by the spirit of you. Help me run this lap cause i know i won’t be able to make it without you.

phew…. promos are over….. never mugged so much at such last minute. well it just goes to show if i keep this up, my A levels will be screwed. you know something… the night before the lite paper due to a horrid lack of preparation and irrational anxiety, i concluded to mug overnight with my uniform and barang barang all brought to macs just the night before the paper. fooled by the ridiculously bright and yellowish macs sign that states 24 hours i was content where i was. but guess what… God knows what happened to their 24 hours… they chased me out at 2 am causing me to lose $13.50 in cab fare home…. but wells.. managed to squeeze in just enough to competently attempt the paper today.

you know something….. GERMANY’S GONNA WIN TONIGHT !

but honestly….. USA should be winners…… is suspect foul play in this world cup.

attempting to keep regularity in blogging

today i studied . i studied economics. i learnt that when your country has excess foreign exchange, it’s not necessarily good. i also learnt that to rectify the problem, we have to help people spend more through expansionary fiscal and monetary policies, or to revalue our currency. i also learnt that expenditure switching and reducing polices helps to correct a balance of payment deficit.

i find economics a lively subject. probably one of the very few subjects that i have a serious interest in. the value of the subject comes in its almost immediate application to our lives. like a true teacher, it shows values beneth the graph, metaphorically and figuratively. eve realised that the way to increase your capacity in ministry is through suppy side policies? notice that people starts to backslide and retention is poor because the “economy is at full employment” and to rectify it is to implement supply side policies? notice that burn-out rate increase because resources are scarce smiliar to a demand pull cum cost pull inflation and to overcome it you will need to cool the momentum with contractionary fiscal and monetary policies?…… ever wonder how relevant your daily subjects could have been appicable to your ministry ? i realised it.

our ministry needs more than just souls and conviction. you need concrete systems and diligent planning to bring visions and passions to pass.

gee… despite the conviction to regularly blog i think i’ve miserably failed……

well i think i’ll just blogged on my thoughts as i always do . Recently, i attended the Northeast camp!, haha and well i must say we did do a fantastic job on the programmes and whatever activities were lined up. Felt that people’s response were fantastic, and of course God did moved within the camp. just a few thanks giving points if you would ride along with me . you can start thinking of your thanksgiving point as well if you were at the camp

1. Lord i thank you for your anointing in our lives, especially through the leadership team that we were able to minister in challenge and counsel with you and your word in their lives.

2. Lord i want to give thanks for the preparation of the people’s heart that you have set apart for this camp. That it was your hands and your spirit that softened the hearts of these people. That the response was yours and not ours

3. Lord we thank you for your presence and your spirit in the camp. despite the limitations and obstacle seen in the camp. you made a way with your spirit. it was you not the hands of man but the hands of God. the heart of man, but never the hands of man. it was you .

if there was a few lessons i can picked up from this camp is that, revival is possible. in constricted moments and wasted chances, the element of Hope is NEVER lost in the hearts of the people, should one choose to believe. as paul would have set a example so vividly in the prison. the choice to sing or mourn is sitll very much in the hands of us in the hold of chains and cuffs. if the bible would put it forth,it takes a seed to die to itself, for many more to follow. revival is viable. revival is possible. regeneration will take place when, the values we hold that contrast with the principles of the bibles, the lives we hold that compromise of our treasures in heaven. that’s what we need to lose. to lose our selfishness, hate, ill- intents and sins. a generation of regeneration is built on the values of christ. ultimately the authorithy of the word.

i want to take up my cross today. i want to take up my cross with you. i want to take up my cross with us. no more excuses and folly of thoughts. no more double minded approaches. in this moment with God we learn to make our decisions count and make it right for God. in that way setting the momentum for the following generations of chrsitian soldiers. i will and must be diligent in my leadership. so must you in your life.

today is the last day of school, and well the beginning of holiday for most. excpet perhaps the unfortunate JC students and myself, the equivalent of half a JC student. looking forward to mugging with you, whoever you are, wherever you are, secretly reading my blog you stalker !

i’ve been getting the strain recently on the drawback of spirituality of our lives. the fact is, more christians are becoming increasingly burdened with the “Religion” we hold close to our hearts. if it was meant to edify, is it thus, wrong to conlcude that something somewhere must have gone wrong?

Let’s put things in perspective. 1) Religion never works. 2) relationship does. i guess many would have long figured out the principle of the difference with our approach to God as a religion or a relationship. but when pressure builds and faith is tested, how easy is the escape to a routinal practise of justification, and seemingly burning our christian joss sticks? and yet we can thus argue our payment of duties with the “justified” routine of religions. we do our roles, pray a little, keep away from sin, read the bible once in awhile.

But, is this how you want your spirituality to conclude. would the above approach have left you thirsty for more, changed from the inside out and bringing about the dynamics of christianity that God have so blatantly promised in the bible, that he “had come so that we may have life, and have it to the full”. so you call that living life to the fullest. if that would to hold true, then the value of christianity would ultimately be debased and degraded into yet another set of ritual and spiritual exercise that all would adhere to in equivalent to our schools and the necessity to sleep. however with this very same necessity, it is all the more important to highlight the need to continously challenge our perspective and idealogy of the life that we are living now and the life that we know God have in place for us.

so is this how you want to live your spiritual destiny, or is it the kind of destiny God have intended at all. well for many it might hold true, but not for me. as long as i am here, i seek to establish the very roots of my existence and my purpose that christ himself have graciously died for. to live for the cross and discover it’s position in my life is of utmost importance to me. and quite frankly, i hope it is for you as well. i might not find the truth fully unveiled yet, but i will in time to come and i am certain. will you as well, not put down the baton, but hold it firm and grip it tight, because despite not knowing the end in sight, you know through faith, the belief in things unseen that God works out for all who love him.
